Description
The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Services at Wythenshawe and Withington hospitals offer
a confidential, free drop in service for those affected by cancer including patients, families,
carers, professionals and general public. We aim to ensure that everyone affected by cancer has
access to relevant information and appropriate support.
The service offers the opportunity to talk in confidence about what you are experiencing in a
supportive, private and relaxing environment. We can offer time to listen, time to talk and time to
try and make sense of it all. We offer a wide range of services and support, including health,
emotional support, bereavement support, benefit advisors and hair loss and make up advice.
We also run Macmillan Connections group activities including walking groups, walking football and
rugby, craft and chat, gardening group (please note these activities may change at times) and after
cancer courses such as the HOPE course.
PLEASE NOTE: The majority of our services are open to anyone affected by cancer regardless of where
they have been treated. However, we can only offer our benefit advice, emotional support and
complementary therapy services to those who are attending Wythenshawe or Withington hospitals for
treatment or have done so in the past. If you wish to access our benefit advice, emotional support
or complementary therapy services, please phone the centre before visiting.
